Home Based Care Nursing
Home health care assistants serve an honourable and crucial role in our society by helping the disabled, elderly and chronically ill maintain a high quality of life.
The Certificate: Home Health Care provides an understanding of the purpose, functions, responsibilities and role of the caregiver.
In particular, the programme enables the transfer of skills and competencies applicable to focus areas including;
⦁ patient’s rights,
⦁ care giver’s rights
⦁ nutrition
⦁ infection control,
⦁ hygiene,
⦁ anatomy and body systems,
The programme places emphasis on the role and function of the home based caregiver and runs over a period of 3 months (1 month theory and 2 months practical. Fees: R1 200 (class during the week Mon-Fri)
R1 400 (Saturday classes only)
Registration fee of R200
All course fees should be paid on commencing the course.
Requirements for next intake :
Certfied copy of ID and latest updated cetificate.
The training is a combination of theory and practical learning which give the studens the practical exposure and the implementation of the aquired theoretical aspect to the Home Care Nursing Industry.
Child Care Course
Caring for children, especially in the infant to toddler years is a very rewarding profession. It is a crucial part of their lives where they learn the foundation skills for later life.
The Certificate: Basic Child Care provides an understanding of the purpose, functions, responsibilities and role you have in caring for children.
The course enables the transfer of skills and competencies applicable to focus areas including:
Role as carer
Nutrition for all ages
Tantrums and how to handle them
Basic First Aid
Development of different ages
Common childhood ilnesses
The programme places emphasis on the role and function of the home based caregiver and runs over a period of 3 months (1 month theory and 2 months practical.
